For a great day out this Easter for all the family visit The Thame Country Fair. It is a well established and popular event, taking place this year on the Sunday 20th and Monday 21st April, 2014 at Thame Showground, Kingsey Road, Thame.
There are two main show arenas hosting fun entertainment all day for all the family, with top country sports and displays. Be spoilt for choice with endless country and craft stalls to visit and a superb falconry village with native and exotic Birds of Prey.

The Main Arenas

There are three main arenas at the very heart of each show. The Andy Singleton Arena is the largest arena for performers who need space to showcase their skills, hosting some incredible attractions. In contrast is the more intimate area of the Countryside Arena, ideal for all you country sport enthusiasts. At all the Arenas there is first class entertainment provided by some of the countryside's top sports names and organisations in the UK. A variety of attractions are taking place at the Thame Game Fair.

Falconry Village

 
The Falconry Village is a must see at this event, with two aims, to provide visitors with the thrill of spectacular displays and to produce an incredible area where all guests can enjoy and explore the world of falconry. The village encompasses a flying arena, an indoor training arena, specialised stalls, static displays and resident expert falconers. The Local Falconry and Hawking Clubs add to the village at shows throughout the year. Their appearances help to attract would-be falconers into the exciting world of falconry. Lantra representives are at the fairs to help with an introduction to falconry courses as well. A special feature within the village is "Wings Out Of Africa" with John Akermen and also a visit from Chris Neale, Resident Falconer with a wealth of experience and knowledge in this area.
 

Target Field Sports

Many target field sports are available to take part in at The Thame Country Fair.  Exceptional tuition, competition and 'Have a Go' sessions are provided at the event. As well as beginners, the more experienced can enter a series of competitions. The varied sports available range from clay shooting, game shooting displays and archery to both adult/junior airgun competitions.

For the Children

There are also activities available for all children and youngsters of any age. Exciting free Country sports sessions with experts from Falconry, fishing and dog handling introduces children to favourite country activities and gives them a skill for life. 
 
Other activities to join in with are ‘Make & Take’ in the Craft Village, archery and airgun training, bouncy castles, puppet shows and lots more.
